What is the U3A Trust?
The University of the Third Age is an international organisation whose aims are the education and stimulation of mainly retired members of the community - those in their third 'age' of life after the second age of full-time employment and parental responsibility. It is commonly referred to as U3A. Anybody in their third age can join U3A and this includes people who are working part-time. The guiding theme of the U3A is that all members should continue to learn from experiences in their third age of life. The Third Age Trust a permanent charity organisation which provides help and guidance to the various U3A groups.
