Bird Watching Group
Group Leader:- Terry L.
Meetings take place:- Field meetings are held on the last Friday of the Month
When:- 9.00am till around 12.30pm
Where:- We meet at The Hub car park to car share and then travel to our chosen location
We are a small, friendly, group of around 15 members who get pleasure from being out in countryside watching birds.
The sites and nature reserves we visit are mainly in the Tring/Aylesbury area but sometimes a little further afield.
Skill levels range from complete novice to regular active birder and we work as a group to find and identify the birds we see.
As leader I try to add some background information about the birds seen, such as gender (where possible), whether it is resident or migratory and why it is that species and not a similar species etc.
The only equipment required is a pair of binoculars and suitable clothing.
