Concorde
John Bullard - October 29th 2014
John Bullard worked for several years on test equipment and
turbine components for Concorde.
His presentation dealt with the historical background and emphasised the special requirements for an aircraft flying passengers at M2, e.g. heating due to friction and no ejector seats if something goes wrong.
He concluded with extracts of film showing the various unique features of the aircraft and flight deck, including a flight to and landing at New York Kennedy airport.
