Railway Modellers Gallery (2016)
On August 16th, Aston Clinton U3A held a special exhibition to commemorate 10 years since it started. Most groups had a presentation but we think our presentation was one of the best! It filled the side room at the Anthony Hall and the following photos show the variety of our interests.
The first six photos are of the layout built specially for the exhibition. Mostly built by Geoff in the preceding two months, though some help was provided by other members of the group. The back scene was painted by a member of the Art Group. It represents a small wayside station to a scale "O/16.5" - that is a narrow gauge line running on 16.5 mm track to the "O" gauge standard of 7mm to the foot. The last two photos show the rear of the layout which is used as a storage area for the stock. Later, it will be developed to represent an industrial site so that the layout is reversible!
